DESCRIPTION:August 12\, 2026\, 6:30-8:30pm–ITS/SIDS (Virtual)- This training session will focus on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and will cover various essential topics. Participants will learn to define SIDS\, identify external stressors and risk factors related to it\, and list the components of a Safe Sleep Policy. Additionally\, the training will explain how North Carolina Child Care regulations and best practices support infant sleep safety and help minimize the risk of SIDS and suffocation. Participants will also be provided with guidelines for responding to unresponsive infants and managing situations involving SIDS deaths in childcare settings.  The training will take place via Zoom and costs $10 for 2 credit hours. Please note that the registration deadline is August 5\, 2026\, at 5 PM. \nPlease be aware of the SSBC policy regarding training credits. If you have signed up for a training session but cannot attend\, it is essential to contact the SSBC training staff by noon on the day of the session to receive credit for future training. Please note that we do not issue refunds; instead\, we provide credits that can be used for upcoming training sessions. SSBC appreciates your understanding!
