October 16th 6:30-8:30pm- A Natural Choice Bringing Outdoors Inside $10- Participants will learn that exploring the natural world provides rich, authentic learning experiences. Outdoor learning offers young children’s opportunities to ignite their creativity and imaginations, as well as cultivate problem-solving skills. Participants will learn that just from exploring a small patch of grass, a single tree, and a walk to the park are opportunities to observe nature, generate questions and conduct experiments to find answers to all critical science practices. The participants will learn that by taking advantage of these opportunities provides children with ways to engage with important environment science concepts, connect science with the real world, and build their understanding of everyday phenomena such as why leaves fall from trees. etc.
