Services

  • Early Childhood Training

    To enhance quality early learning experiences for young children and to provide professional development opportunities (with DCDEE In-Service hours) - we offer training on a variety of topics. Click here to access Smart Start of Brunswick County’s Community Calendar.

  • Technical Assistance

    Technical Assistance is available to early childhood educators to improve or maintain quality practices related to classroom management, positive discipline, health and safety practices, the social and emotional development of young children, etc.  Contact Laura Travis-Ehart for more information - 910-754-3166

  • Lending Library

    Come visit our office in Shallotte to see the wonderful resource books, materials, and supplies that are available for loan.  We are happy to deliver and pick up upon request and as the staff schedule allows.  Contact Laura Travis-Ehart for more information.

  • Grants and Incentives

    Grants and incentives may be available throughout the year to help recognize early childhood professionals who are furthering their education and/or to programs that are working to enhance quality standards.

    ROUND 1 Education Bonus applications have just been mailed to all the star-rated family child care homes and child care centers in Brunswick County. ROUND 1 Education Bonus Application.
