
July 29, 2026, 6:00-8:30 p.m. – Heart Saver Pediatric CPR/First Aid/ AED – $35. Participants will learn essential techniques, including how high-quality CPR improves survival rates for children and infants, and the concepts of the Chain of Survival. The training covers how to recognize when someone needs CPR, perform CPR with assistance from bystanders, and administer effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups. Additionally, you will learn how to use an AED on children and infants, assist a choking child or infant, understand Universal Precautions, and properly remove gloves. The course will also address how to respond to heart attacks, strokes, difficulty breathing, and common injuries and illnesses, as well as the use of an epinephrine pen and controlling bleeding.
The training will be conducted in-person at SSBC, located at 632 Village STE 1, Shallotte, NC 28470. The deadline for registration is July 23, 2026, at 5:00 PM. If you would like to schedule additional dates, please reach out to Laura Travis-Ehart. [email protected]

If you have signed up for a training session but cannot attend, it is essential to contact the SSBC training staff by noon on the day of the session to receive credit for future training.
