
September 14, 2026, 6:30-8:30pm-ITS-SIDS (Virtual) ITS/SIDS (Virtual)- This training session will focus on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and will cover various essential topics. Participants will learn to define SIDS, identify external stressors and risk factors related to it, and list the components of a Safe Sleep Policy. Additionally, the training will explain how North Carolina Child Care regulations and best practices support infant sleep safety and help minimize the risk of SIDS and suffocation. Participants will also be provided with guidelines for responding to unresponsive infants and managing situations involving SIDS deaths in childcare settings. The training will take place via Zoom and costs $10 for 2 credit hours. Please note that the registration deadline is September 9, 2026, at 5 PM.
